about
A sneak peak of the upcoming release: "Arco Voz 2!" under the direction of Jim Nolet, one of the Giants of Jazz, sharing a Jobim classic "Chovendo Na Roseira" with a colorful and festive arrangement. This track features original charter members Marcia Lopes, Mario Manga, and Adriano Busko with the complimentary rhythm section of Neymar Dias, Alessandro D'Aloia and "Tones" Olivinho on Accordion. . The instrumentation is unique for this genre with swinging and soulful interplay between accordion, guitar, and Viola. Nolet's cool Jazz Viola compliments and weaves around Marcia's blissful tones joined by the sweet and soulful riffs of Mangas electric guitar. D'Aloia's sweet cymbal work with Neymar acoustic support is colored at a Percussion break with Nolet's polyrhythmic "Cuica" a lá viola. Recorded in Sao Paulo, engineered and co produced by Mario Manga and mixed by Doug Zangar. Additional engineers include Kakaa and Fontanetti.
